USS Theodore Roosevelt Fund

The Theodore Roosevelt Association (TRA) USS Theodore Roosevelt Ship Fund supports the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71), also known as "The Big Stick."

The TRA, which serves as a support organization for the ship, helps furnish the ship's onboard museum, chapel, library, and crew lounge. It also supports various initiatives like awarding the Theodore Roosevelt Junior Officer Leadership Award, Wings Over America scholarship initiative, and the Homeward Bound for the Holidays program.

The fund collects donations from individuals and corporations to aid these efforts and maintain the ship's legacy in honor of Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th president of the United States and a key proponent of naval power.

The Theodore Roosevelt Association has a long-standing commitment to the vessel since its commissioning in 1986, reflecting Theodore Roosevelt’s vision of a strong and modern navy as a guarantor of peace and security.
