Information

Who Can Attend

TRA members and their guests, and the general public. TRA members can register for the conference packages at a discounted price. Join the TRA today and receive the Association’s scholarly Journal, participate in Association-sponsored events and activities, and receive invitations to all TRA events. Membership is 100% tax-deductible and helps us to honor the legacy of President Theodore Roosevelt by supporting awards and civic programs all focused on perpetuating his memory and legacy.

Cancellation Policy

Registration is non-refundable after September 20th. A $25 late fee will apply on all registrations received after September 30th.

Hotel Accommodations

The TRA has a block of rooms at our host hotel, the Inn at Bellfield. Following is all the information you will need to book your room. Room rates below are good until Wednesday, September 17 on a first come first serve basis and net all taxes.

We also have a small block of rooms that will be available at the nearby Hilton DoubleTree Hotel in Poughkeepsie if rooms are no longer available at the Inn at Bellfield. Room rates will be available until Wednesday, September 17, 2025 on a first come first serve basis and net all taxes.

Round-trip Bus/Shuttle transportation will be provided for ALL planned events on Friday and Saturday between the Inn at Bellfield, the Hilton Doubletree Hotel and the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library/Henry A. Wallace Visitor & Education Center.

Suggestions on How to Get to Host Hotel & Home of FDR in Hyde Park, NY

  • By Car — To The Home of FDR: Easily reached by the Taconic State Parkway and the New York State Thruway from points north and south. The park entrance is located on Route 9 at 4097 Albany Post Rd. Detailed directions are on our Driving Directions page.
  • By Car — To The Inn at Bellfield: Easily reached by the Taconic State Parkway and the New York State Thruway from points north and south. 25 Old Vineyard Place is located off Route 9 off West Dorsey Lane, right next door to the Culinary Institute and minutes from the FDR NHS.   • By Train — Amtrak and Metro North Rail Railroad make stops at the Poughkeepsie station. Taxi service is available at the station.
  • By Air — Air travel to Albany International Airport or Stewart International Airport are the most convenient airports servicing the area.
  • By Bus — Bus service is limited. Dutchess County Public Transit operates a Poughkeepsie to Tivoli Route (C Route) with limited schedule.

  • Friday Early Evening Welcome Cocktail Reception w/Guest Speaker: Casual attire
  • Saturday Symposium, Lunch and Site Tours: Casual attire
  • Saturday Evening Cocktail Reception & Gala Dinner at Inn at Bellfield: Black Tie Optional; otherwise, business attire with jacket and tie for men and cocktail attire for women. Appropriate military uniforms may also be worn.
